Yocan Falcon Review – Falcon 9 to the moon
For the last while, Yocan has been putting out quality budget vaporizers which often fly under the radar. The new Yocan Falcon is another addition to the growing list of Yocan vaporizers and is geared to do it all and offers the first 6-in-1 vaporizer weve seen so far.
Often the 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 vapes weve seen have been alright but nothing special. How does the very first 6-in-1 vape perform? Does it stack up well compared to our list of best e rigs? Let’s fly on into the Yocan Falcon review for more.

Review: Yocan Falcon
How it Works
6-in-1? Surely its complex. Well, its not really all that difficult though you do have a lot of ways to play with it.
- Nectar collector mode. With the XTAL tip you can use it as a regular honey straw.
- Wax pen mode – With the QTC (quartz triple-coil) atomizer you can use it as a regular coil-baed wax pen.
- Dry herb mode – with the pancake coil you can use it as a standard conduction dry herb vaporizer.
The other three ways to use it are just with the glass attachment added on top.
So yeah, weve been bamboozled. Its actually a 3-in-1 with the ability to add a glass attachment on top of each of the modes. A bit feisty on the marketing, eh?
Less is more with this device and a rice-grain size amount of wax does just the trick. Anything more will make a bit of a soupy mess of wax and impact both flavor and performance.
Temperature Flexibility
Three preset temperature/voltage settings are on the device – 3.2v, 3.7v, and 4.2v. This is pretty standard on budget wax pen vapes, but were not even sure which temperatures these correspond to for dry herb.
Therein, the temperature flexibility of the Yocan Falcon is pretty limited and in our opinion sub-adequate for dry herb considering we dont know the temperature settings the pancake coil operates at for dry herb mode.
Vapor Quality
For the nectar collector and wax pen vape mode it works excellent! The hits are smooth, tasty, or gigantic depending on how you set it up. While the temperature control is limited, youll be able to get solid hits with ease.
However, the dry herb mode is just alright and leaves a bit to be desired. The hits are definitely sufficient and taste good at first and the internal vapor-path allows for good cooling, though cleaning is a must though as it can get clogged very quickly and impact performance significantly.
In the end it does just fine, though were not breaking any boundaries when it comes to dry herb vape performance.
Manufacturing Quality
Yocan manages to provide a pretty strong product for the price paid. The Falcon is aptly named once you attach the bottom storage container. Evidently, this allows you to store a good amount of wax or a small amount of herb within for easy storage.
More importantly, the coils and atomizers used are of good quality and perform as well as youd expect. Yocan has been at it for a while now and we trust their coils to last a decent amount of time before needing to be replaced.
The included dab tool is actually our favorite bit and one of the best tools weve seen included on a wax vape.
Battery Life
USB-C with a 1000mAh capacity is what you get on the Falcon. As a wax pen vaporizer thats perfect, however a bit underwhelming for a dry herb vaporizer.
Youll net around 3-4 sessions in dry herb mode and ~20-30 in wax pen mode. Thats pretty good considering the size of the unit, but will definitely be the limiting factor when out and about for extended periods of time.
Thankfully it comes with USB-C and charges in less than an hour. Finally, begone Micro USB!
Ease of Use
Swapping all the different coils, mouthpieces, and changing temperatures are very easy. Yocan makes a foolproof product oftentimes and the Falcon represents that well.
However, youll definitely want to stay on top of cleaning because the internal airway is bound to get clogged if youre negligent of it and it wont hit nearly as well.
Isopropyl alcohol and the two included cleaning brushes will make quick work of that build-up so make sure to service it often!
Discreetness
In its fully-assembled rocket mode its not exactly discreet by any means. After all, it literally looks like a rocket turned into a vaporizer with the base and glass mouthpiece attached.
However, in the stripped-down tiny mode, it is as small and portable as ever. You can slip it into your pocket with ease and itll take up a minimal amount of space.
Overall Experience
So the 6-in-1 wasnt exactly honest. You get the nectar collector, wax pen, and dry herb modes with a glass topper to double the number of ways to use it.
Unless you really need a single device to cover all three of those functions, wed recommend picking up something else. It performs just fine but thats it – nothing special and a dedicated unit will still beat it out.
Something like the Utillian 5 (V3) will outperform the wax pen mode any day of the week and the petite G Pen Dash performs better with dry herb. If you’re looking for a more straightforward e-rig experience then the Core vape has a lot to offer as well.
Its a cool design for sure and we appreciate the innovation Yocan always pushes into budget devices, however, were not crazy about the Falcon.
