Lookah Snail 2.0 Review: Everything that’s new with this 510-thread battery – Still Relevant?

There’s a new 510 thread battery on the block, the Lookah Snail 2.0, which is an update to the unique Lookah Snail. The way this vape looks seems to be catching eyes left and right, but how well does it work? Today I am going to go over some of its new features and share my opinions on it based on years of knowledge.

This series from Lookah has been given some light thanks to its unique form factor. Let’s see if it’s worth its salt or if it’s another cheap Chinese product.

Using Lookah Snail 2.0 is similar to using the previous model. It’s a decent unit for vaping enthusiasts who want simplicity in a cool new design. Using the unit is as simple as it gets.

Here’s how Snail 2.0 works: 

Step 1: To turn on the Lookah Snail 2.0, quickly click the power button five times. The LED light will flash to indicate it’s on.
Step 2: Click the power button twice to cycle through the different voltage settings.
Step 3: Once you’ve selected your desired voltage, the device is ready to use. 

Remember to turn off the device after use by clicking the power button five times. This will ensure battery longevity and safety.

Manufacturing Quality

The Lookah Snail 2.0 is a small and interesting device that’s gained popularity among vapers. As someone who has tried out many gadgets, I have some thoughts to share. The Snail 2.0 is a compact kit that fits in the palm of your hand and is designed to be both discreet and functional.

The design of the Snail 2.0 is simple and minimalist. It has a power button and an indicator light that are easy to understand and use. This design choice gives it a sleek look, but it means that it can only work with cartridges that are 1ml or smaller. The Lookah Snail 2.0 has three different temperature settings to suit the preferences of vaping enthusiasts. You can easily switch between these settings by double-clicking the button. A different color represents each setting:

• Blue LED (3.2 Volt): This setting is for those who want light vapor with the most amount of flavor possible. 
• Purple LED (3.6 Volt): This setting strikes a balance between flavor and vapor production. It’s a good choice for a well-rounded vaping session.
• White LED (4.1 Volt): This setting delivers powerful vapor for those who want a strong and intense experience. It focuses more on the strength of the hit rather than subtle flavors.

While the settings are good, you won’t really be getting amazing flavor even on the lowest setting simply due to the quality of its heating elements construction. The Snail 2.0 does, however, come with a pre-heat-up feature. You just need to click the button three times, and it will be ready to use in a few seconds. The light on the device will indicate what’s happening, whether it’s ready to use, or if it needs to be charged.

Overall, the temperature range is decent, it has 3 settings, which is pretty standard, with only a few batteries going to 4 settings for that little bit extra. Usually, these units are better quality because they need more sophisticated tech to really push the limits on customizability. Units such as the Tronian Rhotron and the Utillian 50 fall into this category.

Portability

The Lookah Snail 2.0 is a discreet and portable vape. It’s small enough to fit in your hand and doesn’t attract much attention, making it great for people who prefer to vape without being noticed. With that said, the form factor is not a tall one, but it definitely has some girth to it, which will make it harder to hide in your hand, especially if you have smaller hands.

Comparing it to smaller devices that can be held in most people’s hands, we have units like the Zeus ION. The Snail isn’t too big to take with you, but it’s not the smallest either. The Zeus ION is a bit more high-end than the Lookah Snail 2.0, but both can be carried in your pocket when you’re on the move.

If you vape a lot and need to bring extra cartridges, it would be a good idea to get a 510 Battery Case like the Zeus Armor. It makes it convenient to travel with multiple cartridges, and if you use your vape frequently, don’t forget to bring a charging cable.

Battery Life

The Lookah Snail 2.0 helps to keep you vaping without constant recharges. It comes with a 350 mAh battery that’s pretty decent for its size. When you plug it in, the LED light turns red to show it’s charging and switches to green when it’s full. 

The Snail 2.0 also has a handy indicator that flashes three times to tell you when the battery is low. And it doesn’t take long to charge up either – just around 30 minutes, and you’re ready to go again.

One thing to note is that the Snail 2.0 uses a Micro-USB port, which is outdated at this point. These days, many devices are moving to USB-C, which is easier to use and becoming the new standard. So, while the Snail 2.0’s battery life is solid, keep in mind that you might need to keep track of the charger.

Overall Experience

After spending some time with this 510 thread battery, I’ve gathered quite a few impressions about this compact vape pen. It’s clear that Lookah has put thought into making a device that’s easy to use while still packing in the necessary features for a decent vape session.

The Snail 2.0’s design is all about stealth and simplicity. It’s small enough to fit in your hand discreetly, and the single-button operation means you’re not fumbling with complicated settings. The temperature flexibility is decent, with three settings that let you choose between flavor and cloud size. And while it may not have as many options as other budget contenders, such as the Tronian Rhotron, it still offers enough variety for most users.
