How it Works

To use this device, start by twisting the mouthpiece to access the chamber. Lightly pack your dry herb to allow air to pass through as you pull. Once ready, rapidly press the power button five times to turn your device on and set your temperature using the two smaller buttons. When your device vibrates, you’re good to begin your session by inhaling from the mouthpiece. Tap the power button three times to check battery life.

Vapor Quality

This feature-rich budget vaporizer uses hybrid convection heating to cook your herb. The Milatron’s chamber is made with anodized aluminum, which uses a dual heating system to heat both the sides and bottom of your bowl for maximum efficiency. The Milatron comes with a 0.22-gram bowl size which is nice and wide which makes it easy to unload after a session as compared to narrow chambers.

It is not as large as the chamber one gets on the budget version of the premium Arc S, which is about 0.3 grams. Generally speaking, how big your chamber ought to be has a lot to do with how much you consume. The rule of thumb is that if you consume 1g of herb, you need to vaporize about 65% of that weight to get the same effect. We recommend packing your herb on the looser side, as it will ensure even cooking in the middle of your bowl.

Manufacturing Quality

The body of this budget beast uses a brushed aluminum exterior with vegan leather on the sides to give you a comfortable grip. This keeps the device light, with the form factor being sturdy enough to survive the occasional fall. It features three buttons, a home button, and two buttons for dialing in temperatures. It also features a robust OLED Display for easy session customization. The Milatron features haptic feedback, to let you know your chamber has gotten up to the set temperature.

The mouthpiece is made out of temperature-safe plastic and features a ceramic filter to avoid the vapor’s flavor from being negatively impacted as compared to plastic vapor pathways. While the vapor is still very good in comparison to most dry herb vaporizers, it’s not as cool as what you’d get from a device with a glass mouthpiece, like the Litl 1  or U421. With that being said, glass creates some challenges that plastic mouthpieces don’t have. For example, you can drop your Millatron without worry, while the mouthpiece of an Arizer Vaporizer or U421 could break. Overall the materials used for this device are well thought-out and more than you would expect from a device at this price.

Battery Life

The Milatron comes with a 2300 mAh battery, which should last you around an hour of continuous use, or one day of average consumer sessions. Although It is not as high as the 3500mah you find on premium budget conduction devices, like the Zeus Arc S, it is rather competitive at the price it is being offered.

Generally speaking, hybrid convection vaporizers do provide a thicker vapor with more pull-through but use more battery as compared to conduction devices. The  Milatron also wins big points for providing a USB-C port and reasonably fast charging, a modern touch that’s just started making its way into becoming the new standard among vaporizers.

Portability

This device features a body that’s quite compact as previously mentioned, compared to other similarly priced devices out there. It is strong enough that it will survive being placed in a bag or purse without worry, which makes the Milatron a great commuter device for enthusiasts on the go. In effect, if you take the Millatron with you on the go, you will need secondary storage for extra dry herbs, if you want to consume more than one chamber, and changing the chamber is a bit more time-consuming than just swapping out a pod.

Ease of use is one of the foremost qualities of this unit. You turn it on and read battery life via the power button, after that all it takes to adjust your session is to use the arrow buttons to set your desired temperature and wait for the vibration that indicates ready use.
