Bannana Bros. OTTO Grinder Review – Coneheads!
Sure, weve all seen and heard of automatic grinders before, but the OTTO brings a little extra to the table. With the ability to fill a paper cone in around 5 seconds flat with perfectly ground herb, you can make a boatload of pre-rolled cones in no time. Technically, OTTO is an herb miller, not a grinder, though well refer to it as a grinder in this review! At $139USD, its not exactly what youd consider cheap. Check out what we have to say about the OTTO grinder here!

Review: banana bros. OTTO grinder
How it Works
To start, youll place one pre-rolled cone in the clear loading section before placing the OTTO on top. Though you can use your own papers and roll your own cones, its much easier and more consistent to use banana bros. pre-rolled cones. They do come at a premium price, however.
Next, youll place your herb in the center of the device after separating the two halves before clamping them back together. Lastly, place the OTTO onto the loading funnel and press the go button. Within a few seconds, your cone will be filled with perfectly ground herb and ready to go!
Manufacturing Quality
The OTTO Grinder is built great and feels terrific to use! For $139USD, we expect nothing less than exceptional quality, however, though the OTTO Grinder does satisfy! The intelligent circuit board detects the density, weight, and texture of your herb, adjusting the speed and pressure applied in order to give the perfect grind consistency every time.
This is an impressive amount of engineering put into such a typically primitive device, and thats pretty neat in its own regard! It feels terrific to use, looks interesting and its built tough. It also comes with 20 pre-rolled cones, filling tube & funnel, charging cable, cleaning tool, measuring cup, storage cap and fresh seal cone tube.
Ease of Use
Once youve used it once, youve used it a million times. Theres not much learning curve involved similar to the LITL 1, and its quite useful for those with mobility issues or fine motor problems since you dont need to roll your own cones.
Cleaning it is surprisingly simple too! The aluminum milling plates detach easily and can be soaked in a bath of cleaning solution. Using a small brush or cleaning tool to get rid of any other residue or build-up will get it back to normal.
Performance
It does what it says it does! The grind consistency is very uniform and fluffy, and to those with a trained eye, theyll be able to spot the difference.
We found the OTTO Grinder doesnt really attach to any vapes like the Zeus Arc GTS Hub particularly well, though the grind consistency will definitely work for them. The battery isnt the beefiest of the bunch either, only getting you around 20-30 cones per charge. Still, thats plenty of juice for most typical applications.
Overall Experience
For a person who prefers rolling over other methods of consumption, the Otto Grinder can be seen as a worthwhile investment. If you are an older user who is starting to have dexterity issues in their hand than this product may be a godsend.
However, for the occasional roller, you will have to ask yourself if the convenience of an occasional cone is worth the overall price. Not to mention that youll likely want to buy their pre-rolled cones which arent cheap by any means, which is another chunk of change.
If youre really at your end-game setup and have nothing else to blow cash on, or if you have the need for quickly rolling a large quantity at a time, then it might be a solid choice for you.
If you are looking for a quality hand-cranked grinder we recommend checking out the Zeus Bolt Grinder which is perfectly calibrated for vaporization.
