You Should Buy the XKAH Fork Poker If…
You've lost the one that came with your XKAH Pro or XKAH Lite, or its needle or fork has bent and no longer separates herbal molasses cleanly. A spare also helps if you pre-pack several Refillable Bowls with different flavors, or keep one tool at home and another in the XKAH Pro travel bag.
How to Pack an XKAH Bowl with the Fork Poker
The Fork Poker is used before the session starts, while the Refillable Bowl is out of the device.
Here is a step by step guide:
Step 1: Make sure the XKAH is switched off and lift the Refillable Bowl out of the device. If the bowl is still warm from a previous session, use the XKAH tongs.
Step 2: Take the protective cap off and use the fork end to pull apart any clumps of herbal molasses until the strands separate.
Step 3: Use the fork end to spread approximately 8–12g of the separated molasses into the Refillable Bowl in a loose, even layer. Keep it below the rim and do not press it down.
Step 4:Run the needle end through the molasses to loosen dense spots and open a few channels for air, then seat the bowl level and secure it in the XKAH.
Why Pack Density Matters on an Electric HMD
A loose, evenly distributed pack provides heat and airflow a consistent path through the herbal molasses. If packed too tightly, the draw feels restricted. If the pack is overfilled, the molasses takes too much direct heat and turns harsh sooner. When a session feels inconsistent, XKAH advises checking the pack and airflow before touching the temperature. The fork end gets herbal molasses into the bowl loose and evenly spread, and the needle end corrects density once it's there.
Fork End vs Needle End
The two ends serve different purposes during packing. The fork end works on herbal molasses, breaking up clumps and spreading it so the layer comes out evenly instead of piling up in one spot. The needle end works on herbal molasses already in the bowl, moving strands that have settled into a dense patch and opening channels for air, which XKAH ties to a smoother draw and more balanced heating.
