Utillian 722 Vaporizer Review – Flight 722 Now Boarding
How’s it going YouTube this is Alex coming at ya in the studio with a very special review of the new Utillian 722. The 722 is a fantastic convection unit designed to be a value driven option for those seeking the convection flavor without the price tag. We’re going to dive in and see if this unit is worth your budget bucks. But first….
Without further ado, let’s get into it.
The Utillian 722 vaporizer is the latest addition to Utillian’s growing line of vaporizers and wax pens. The 722 vaporizer looks to build on the success of the popular Utillian 721 vaporizer, sporting a new sleek look, refined airflow, convection vapor and a higher max temperature which will provide bigger clouds and better full spectrum vaporization for both your herbs and concentrates.
How it Works
Users of the Utillian 721 will be somewhat familiar with how the 722 vaporizer operates, it still sports a single-button design for ease of use. 5 quick clicks on the power button will turn the 722 vaporizer on, if you have used the device before it will remember your last set temperature and begin to heat up. The 722 takes roughly 60 seconds to reach temperature.
Two quick clicks on the power button will toggle between the 4 temperature settings. Everything seems relatively the same as the 721 vaporizer, however the difference lies in the boost mode. With the 722 you press and hold the power button and this will put the vaporizer into boost mode. The boost mode can be activated at any temperature and when activated the Utillian 722 will rapidly heat to its max temperature 225C. This is a great way to quickly finish off a session.
The 722 vaporizer is also compatible with extracts and concentrates with its included wax canister. Simply load your favorite extract in the wax canister and drop it into the heating chamber to enjoy a flavorful convection powered wax session.
Temperature Flexibility – Boost Mode brings Higher Max Temperature
The Utillian 722 features 4 base pre-set temperatures; 180C, 190C, 200C, 210C, which will give you a good range to work within to vaporizer your herbs and extracts. The boost mode on the 722 vaporizer will push the unit to its maximum temperature 225C.
The boost mode is an excellent way to achieve full spectrum vaporization and finish off your session, getting the most of your plant or concentrate.
Vapor Quality – Does the 722 still have great convection vapor?
The Utillian 722 continues the tradition of great tasting convection vapor that users have come to expect from the Utillian 720 line. Airflow on the 722 vaporizer has been slightly refined offering smooth draws.
On the lower two temperatures flavor is better preserved with a decent amount of vapor production. The higher two temperatures will result in increased vapor production with a quicker fall-off on flavor. However, if you want to extract more from your herbs at one time, higher temperatures are the place to start. If you want to stretch out your session, start on a lower temperature.
As we mentioned, the boost mode will maximize your session and provide the largest amounts of vapor, this is especially true when using the 722 vaporizer with extracts.
The 722 vaporizer actually really shines when it comes to how it vaporizes concentrates, the flavor is astounding and the device could easily substitute for your dedicated wax pen when you go out for a night. We highly recommend checking this out for yourself.
Manufacturing Quality – A New Look
The Utillian 721 was a well-built device, but with the 722 vaporizer they have worked hard to make the device feel even better.
The new design of the Utillian 722 is sleek and stylish opting for a more squared look rather than the rounded edges of the 721.
There is no longer a rubberized finish and instead the shell of the Utillian 722 features a *premium paint on metal shell* finish. The 722 is now offered in two colors, black and gunmetal.
The mouthpiece on the Utillian 722 is larger and sturdier than the one included with the Utillian 721. This helps further optimize airflow for some serious cloud production.
Battery Life – How long does the Utillian 722 last?
The Utillian 722 vaporizer is powered by a 2300mah non-removable battery which will provide you with roughly 60 minutes of battery life. This is a good amount of time of vaping during the day and lighter users won’t have to charge their 722 vaporizer for a day or two.
The Utillian 722 charges via micro-usb which makes topping up the device easy and hassle-free.
Portability – Can you take the 722 vaporizer with you?
The Utillian 722 is roughly the same size as the Utillian 722 and comparable in size to the Crafty, maybe slightly larger.
It is super easy to slip into a pocket or pop in your bag to take with you for the day. For those looking to protect their Utillian 722, a vaporizer case is always a needed accessory, especially if you are constantly travelling with your vaporizer.
Ease of Use – Is the 722 Vaporizer good for beginners?
With a one button design, the Utillian 722 is a very easy and very straightforward vaporizer to use. I can safely recommend this vaporizer to first time users along with seasoned vets.
Getting good vapor production from the Utillian 722 is extremely easy and is one of the reasons the Utillian 721 was so successful. If you hand the 722 vaporizer to a friend who has never vaped before there is no coaching necessary, just draw and enjoy.
Discreetness – Is the U722 Still Stealthy?
With the general public getting more and more use to seeing people walking around with chunky e-cig mods, the shape and design of the Utillian 722 should not draw too much attention.
If just left on a desk with the mouthpiece folded in, the 722 vaporizer could easily be mistaken for as a portable hard-drive or portable battery.
And with its size, its fairly simple to tuck the 722 vaporizer away if you ever need to hide it.
Overall Experience – Still one of the best vaporizers for the money
The Utillian 722 is an excellent update over the Utillian 721. The bump in manufacturing quality and overall looks can’t be ignored, the 722 vaporizer is a rock-solid device.
Vapor production remains to be one of the strongest points of the Utillian line, with the 722’s convection vapor leading the way. Not only does the Utillian 722 do a great job at full spectrum extraction of your dry flower, but with the included wax canister the 722 is also a very good wax vaporizer as well.
The new boost mode is the perfect way to end a session and milk every single last terpene from your herbs and concentrates. This bumped up max temperature is a welcome addition and perfect if you like to chase clouds.
Overall, we are very happy with what the Utillian 722 has to offer and can easily recommend it as an upgrade over the Utillian 721 or as an alternative to more expensive convection units like the Crafty or Mighty.

You should get the Utillian 722 vaporizer if…
You want a strong performing convection style vaporizer that is able to double as a capable concentrate vaporizer. The Utillian 722 improves upon the strong performance of the 721 vaporizer, offering a higher maximum temperature for full spectrum vaporization for both your herbs and extracts.
Impressive Convection Heating Chamber
The Utillian 722 vaporizer follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, offering impressive convection style vapor in an affordable easy to use package. The large heating chamber is capable of holding up to .4 grams of herb and uses convection to heat your herbs or concentrates. Convection works by heating your material with hot air rather than direct contact with the heat source, resulting in better airflow and a more even cook.
Enhanced Boost Mode
The boost mode for the 722 has had a complete overhaul. The boost mode can be activated at anytime by simply pressing and holding the power button. When the button is held the 722 vaporizer will enter boost mode and begin to rapidly heat to 225 degrees celsius. This is a higher maximum temperature than the 721 and will provide better extraction for your herbs and concentrates. The boost mode is a perfect way to finish your session.
The included wax canister makes the Utillian 722 a very versatile vaporizer, unlocking its potential as a high-performing wax device. Experience the combination of convection and concentrates for a truly flavorful and robust experience. The new enhanced boost mode on the 722 will make quick work of your extracts.
Single Button Operation
The 722 vaporizer stays true to its roots with a simple one button design that makes the device extremely easy to use. Turn the device on and off, toggle temperature settings or enable boost mode all with the same button. Effortless vaping.
4 Base Temperature Settings
The Utillian 722 features four base temperature settings: 180C°, 190C°, 200C°, 210C° which offer an effective range for vaporizing your dry herb and concentrates. Along with the new enhanced boost mode the Utillian 722 provides ample options for choosing your favorite temperature range for vaping your dry herbs and concentrates.
The Utillian 722 features a new wider mouthpiece and optimized airflow. Airflow on the 721 was good, but on the 722 it's even better thanks to the wider mouthpiece which helps refine the air pathway, allowing for more vapor to passthrough at one time. This means bigger clouds and smoother draws. The mouthpiece itself is a massive improvement over the 721.
