How it Works – How to use the Tronian Tautron

The Tronian Tautron is pretty simple and straightforward to use – attach your preferred CBD oil cartridge to the included 0.5ML or 1.0ML 510-threaded magnetic adapter, then drop the oil cartridge with the connected magnetic adapter into the Tronian Tautron cartridge slot.

The Tautron fits cartridges up to 10.5mm in diameter, which means it will fit most cartridges on the market. But just be aware that larger carts may not fit.

The sunken cartridge slot ensure that your cartridge is protected. Unlike with pen-style vapes like the Linx Hermes 3 which leave the cartridge exposed and prone to breakage.Once you are done, just draw from the mouthpiece of your cartridge and you have now begun your vaping experience with the Tronian Tautron!

There are no buttons on this device- it’s draw activated!

Manufacturing Quality – How does the Tronian Tautron Feel?

The short answer is – it is really comfortable to hold!

The Tronian Tautron has a small, pocket friendly ergonomical boxy shape with rounded corners so it fits nicely in your grip whenever you want to vape with it. Think of it as an even smaller, more ergonomic CCELL Silo, for a better price.

It kind of resembles a shrunken down version of a box mod that e-cig vapers use but with the proper ergonomic contours that really makes a difference when you are holding it.

The design is clean, with a punch-out Tronian logo on the body that makes it look classy but also allows you to keep an eye on your oil levels.

I did not see problems in terms of paint chipping during my testing period and that says a lot since I have a tendency to just leave the device lying around and put it in my pocket filled with other stuff.

The top part of the Tronian Tautron has the cartridge slot which magnetically fits your CBD oil cartridge fitted with the included magnetic adapter. It produces a nice “click” sound whenever you drop your cartridge in the slot and feels secure, no worries of your oil cartridge dropping from the device while you are walking or vaping.

The back part of the device has the LED bulb that illuminates whenever you take a drag to indicate that the battery is being activated. The bottom part houses the mini-USB charging port.

Overall, I like the solid feel that the Tronian Tautron gives, there is no weird rattling sound when you are waving or shaking this device which lets you know that the fit and finish is topnotch.

For the price and quality, the Tautron is a win.

Power Flexibility – Does the Tronian Tautron offer variable voltage or temperature control?

Nope, it does not and sometimes that is a good thing.

The sacrifice of voltage control allows for draw activation, which people tend to find more convenient. However, if voltage control is something you’re interested in, you might want to explore the Tronian Omegatron which offers 4 voltage settings that you can regulate, providing a different vaporizing experience in comparison to the typical 510 thread batteries like the ones used in Tautron.

The Tautron is better calibrated to accommodate a wide range of CBD oil viscosities that you might be using, when you drop your cartridge in it will adjust based on the resistance of your cartridge.

It sounds technical, just know that the Tautron does the work for you.

During my testing period, I had no issues with the way it outputted power to my cartridges and it always resulted in a pleasant vaping experience from getting good flavor and vapor.

As with all 510 threaded cartridges they do work better when fully charged, so keep that in mind. As the battery depletes, less voltage will be passed to the cartridge, resulting in less vapor. On the other hand, with the Vapor Cup, you might find a different level of control and a unique vaporizing experience that diverges from the traditional 510 threaded cartridge systems.

Ease of Use – How easy is the Tronian Tautron to use if you are a new vaper?

Extremely easy.

All you have to do is make sure that your preferred and compatible CBD cartridges are already connected with the included 0.5ML and 1.0ML 510-threaded magnetic adapters so you can easily drop them into the device’s cartridge slot and vape away. It is much easier than something like Yocan Uni Pro.

I’ve always had a preference for draw-activated devices because they feel natural to use and gets rid of the hassle of having to press buttons x number of times to power on and power of the device.

While cleaning and maintenance is pretty much negligible given the cartridge based design of the Tautron, the exterior of the device can still be easily wiped down with a gentle cleaning solution similar to the one used in the Zeus Purify cleaning kit.

The cartridge slot ensures that your oil is protected from any minor bumps, the worst thing is a shattered oil cartridge. And the Tronian Tautron helps combat this with its design. 

Portability – How convenient is it to take the Tronian Tautron out and about with you?

Very convenient. The Tronian Tautron is one of the smallest and most compact device out there. Easier smaller than something like the Pckt One Plus or Tronian Nutron.

It stands a mere 63mm tall, only 28.3mm wide and a very small depth of 13.6mm, making it a very easy fit for carrying cases such as the Zeus Armor.

The Tautron can virtually disappear in your pocket. You will forget that it is in there.

This device has a 380 mAh battery which, with oil carts will easily get you a day or 2 of vaping depending on your habits.

The 510 thread battery also charged extremely quickly making it easy to top up when you’re out.

Lastly, the device does a great job at keeping your cartridge protected in your bag or pocket when you’re out. No worrying about smashed glass.

Discreetness – Can you use the Tronian Tautron for Stealth Vaping?

I would argue that the Tronian Tautron is one of the best 510 threaded batteries for stealth vaping.

It has a much smaller profile then say the CCELL Palm or the  CCELL 510 thread battery, and will completely disappear in your hand when in use.

This makes it easy to hide when trying to get a session in quickly and without anyone noticing. For those concerned with the odor the Tronian Tautron produces however, we’ve covered that in a seperate post which discusses if vapes do leave a smell. Feel free to check it out!

Overall Experience – So, is the Tronian Tautron worth your money?

After using this device for a few weeks, I would say hell yes! Maybe even get 2 if you like to carry multiple strains.

The Tronian Tautron offers a nice balance of size vs. battery capacity and I really like how it looks and feels on hand.

The 380 mAh battery in this device is enough to keep up with the average user and the power delivery it has to your CBD oil cartridges is good enough that I don’t even miss the option of having the power to control the voltage or temperature.

What I really like about the Tautron is its size, small footprint and solid feeling in the hand. I can safely say this is one of my favortie 510 thread batteries for oil cartridges and is a strong contender in our best vape pen list.
