How it Works

5 rapid clicks of the device will turn it on and holding down the same button will allow you to cycle between the available temperature settings. We recommend using finely ground herb packed down slightly for the best results.

Temperature Flexibility

The K Vape pen has four temperature presets to choose from – 350, 375, 400, and 428°F / 177, 190, 204, and 220°C. Users that prefer temperature control tend to go for devices such as Arizer Solo 2 that helps them find the sweets spot.

This is fine enough, though complete control and a display would be preferable as many budget devices in today’s age give you that option.

Vapor Quality

Wholly unimpressive, the K Vape pen has a tight draw resistance, low vapor production, the flavor is mediocre and really it’s hard to find any positives with the device.

The glass mouthpiece isn’t quite long enough to allow vapor to cool and we struggle to see how the K-Vape even comes close to beating other units like the Utillian 421 and Flowermate Slick.

Manufacturing Quality

The K-Vape feels very finicky and okay at best. The glass mouthpiece is a nice upgrade over plastic however the entire unit doesn’t really feel solid or luxurious by any means. We’re scared plugging it in wrong or a small drop may spell disaster for the device. Users that prefer sturdy yet smart vaporizers usually tend to prefer the Mighty vaporizer.

Included in the box is a real basic kit including the device itself, two mouthpieces, USB charger, and cleaning brush. For this price we would’ve liked to see some spare screens and a packing tool and maybe a carrying pouch included.

Battery Life

There’s no data out there on the battery size, however since the manufacturer doesn’t disclose the capacity, we’d say it’s pretty underwhelming.

Expect around 4-6 sessions on a full charger and to charge up from empty to full to take 1.5-2 hours. The battery is also not removable and once it degrades naturally, you’ll be left with a pricy paperweight.

Users, on a budget, that want something long term usually prefer vaping units like the Flowermate Slick vaporizer because it has a  removable battery.

Portability

It’s small, it’s comfortable to use, and fits well in most pockets or any bag. Not quite as small as some devices like the Zeus Arc GTS Hub or LITL 1, but it’s not cumbersome by any means.

Ease of Use

Anyone wondering how to use K Vape, it’s not difficult to use by any means. Load up the chamber, hit the sequence of buttons, and wait for it to heat up. You might be confused after taking a hit that there’s not much coming out. That’s normal, the vape just doesn’t produce much vapor! Users that prefer stronger vapors prefer units like the Utillian 722 which has an enhanced boost mode for full extraction.

Cleaning is simple. A cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol will clean out the chamber properly and a glass mouthpiece can be submerged in iso to full clean it. Simple and we always prefer vaporizers which make cleaning a non-issue.

Discreetness

Its form factor is discreet and sleek, most people will likely think it’s a standard e-juice vape and the design doesn’t draw much attention to itself.

It does emit a strong amount of odor when in use and after a session so keep that in mind! Users who want little to no odor when in use prefer to use convection based devices like the Utillian 722.

Overall Experience

It’s just not very good. Performance is certainly below average in every aspect and for the price, you can certainly get a device with much better vapor production and battery life.

We’d instead recommend something by Utillian like the Utillian 421 or if you want to spend a bit more money the Flowermate Slick.
