Arizer XQ2 Vaporizer Preview – Desktop Revolution

Updated: December 6, 2023

The Arizer Extreme Q has been on the forefront of Arizer’s desktop vaporizer lineup for some time now so when we got news that an all-new update just hit the shelves we felt it was due time. The Arizer XQ2 features a fresh new look with a cleaner aesthetic and what looks to be a much needed redesign on the digital display. While Arizer themselves have yet to make an announcement on the actual changes, we’re going to do our best to pick apart the Arizer XQ2 based on the limited info they’ve released.

Fresh LED Screen

The retro-styled LCD screen on the original Extreme Q seems to have been replaced with a much cleaner and toned down LED display that looks to have done a good job of removing excess clutter. The new Arizer XQ2 display highlights the current and target temperatures in large and bold text that’s now much easier to read.

Improved Whip and Balloon System

The new whip system now has the ability to rotate a full 360 degrees which should make the Arizer XQ2 easier to share sessions with. The balloon system used by the Arizer XQ2 also looks like it got an update in the form of a balloon connector which features a valve much similar to what the Volcano offers.

Updated User Interface & Accessories

As for the Arizer XQ2 itself, aside from the updated looks, Arizer has promised an easier to use interface and from the looks of the dedicated fan speed button, that just might be true. The remote control has also been redesigned and the vaporizer unit itself now features replaceable air filters. Arizer also introduced the new glass connoisseur bowl which looks to be a revamp of their old yet high quality Cyclone bowl.

Things Unseen

Arizer says that the airflow on the Arizer XQ2 has been re-engineered and optimized and while we haven’t had the chance to test it out yet, we’re definitely optimistic it’ll be an upgrade over the airflow of the old Arizer Extreme Q. One thing we’re definitely looking forward to with the new Arizer XQ2 is a more potent convection oven that does a better job at fully extracting dry herb. While the original EQ did an ok job at lower to mid-range temps, it did have a tendency to be inconsistent at higher temperature settings, so lets hope Arizer has worked that out!

Consistent Quality

We’re definitely big Arizer fans over here. Not only do they offer great vaporizers at reasonable prices, but the quality of their accessories and attachments is some really quality stuff and is one of the main factors that put them on the map. Hopefully the release of the Arizer XQ2 means that this is  just the beginning of another wave of fresh new devices from them. We’re definitely looking forward to a new Arizer Air 2 and Solo 2 that’s for sure.
