Today we\u2019ll be taking a look at the V2 Pro Series 3X, an updated version of the Series 3 from V2. The Series 3 made splashes when it was first released because it was one of the few (or only) vaporizers at the time that was truly 3-in-1, meaning it can produce actual vapor from e-liquid, concentrates, and dry herbs. The Series 3X is looking to build on that performance by adding more versatility and updating the e-liquid tank. Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

The V2 Pro Series 3X is very similar to the Series 3, but it also has some important improvements that help it function better. The Series 3X still utilizes the cartridge system to be able to handle all three materials, and it\u2019s still positioned primarily as a device for e-liquids.<\/p>\n

When using it for e-liquids, the Series 3X cartridge now offers 3 different atomizer options with different resistances, .9ohm, 1.2ohm and 1.5ohm. This means that the Series 3x will do a much better job at handling high VG juices and will be able to produce larger clouds. The other nice difference between the Series 3 and 3x is that you can replace just the atomizers rather than replacing the entire tank itself, which can get old quick on the Series 3. The Series 3X also now offers variable voltage settings and a battery life indicator.<\/p>\n

The wax and herb cartridges are pretty much the same as the Series 3 versions, but Series 3x now features 3 different voltage\/temperature controls which will allow you to tailor your vapor.<\/div>

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The Series 3X performs best with e-liquids. As we discussed, improvements made to the 3X are largely centered on this capability, which is made obvious by the fact that the wax and herb cartridges haven\u2019t been updated at all. The new atomizers are ceramic, and the flavor is good. The amount of vapor produced is above average for a unit this small, especially when you use the 0.9ohm atomizer.<\/p>\n

There are two improvements that affect all three modes. The first is the metal mouthpiece with adjustable airflow. This makes a big difference over the original, which was plastic. The other is the variable power settings. While this is still limited in that department, more flexibility still helps you dial in your experience.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Performance with the wax and dry herb tanks (sold separately) is average, but they do work. Pretty much any dedicated vaporizer would outperform this in either of these modes, but if you\u2019re looking for a 3-in-1 vape, this one works. Users who are interested in 510 thread cartridges for oil often prefer the Tronian Pitron<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/div>

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

The Series 3X has 3 voltage and temperature settings. I\u2019ll be honest, I\u2019m not exactly sure what the levels are. The unit itself doesn\u2019t show them and V2’s manuals and website don’t offer much insight.<\/p>\n

When using it with the dry herb cartridge, I\u2019m fairly certain that the temperature levels are around 200C, 215C, and 230C. When using the liquid and wax cartridges, just know that the higher the voltage, the larger the production.<\/p>\n

Getting a unit this small to drive precision power to 3 different types of cartridges is not easy. Compared to a dedicated unit, the flexibility is obviously poor. This is a step in the right direction though and an improvement over the original.<\/div>

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

This is very easy to use. There is only one button that controls the power and voltage\/temperature level. The cartridges are simple to swap, and so are the atomizers.<\/p>\n

Even charging it is extremely easy because the cord connects to the bottom magnetically.<\/div>

Portability<\/h3>\n
\n

This is extremely portable. The size makes it very convenient for carrying around, whether in your hand or your pocket. More importantly, this provides a convenient way to enjoy 3 different materials from one vape.<\/p>\n

Instead of needing to carry a box mod and a herbal vaporizer, you can just carry this with the e-juice cartridge on top and a preloaded herb cartridge ready to go in your pocket.<\/p>\n

The size is an obvious advantage when it comes to discretion, but so is its versatility. This doesn\u2019t just look like a unit that can vape e-liquids, it is <\/i>one.<\/p>\n

\"v2-pro-series-3x-main2\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There\u2019s absolutely no way for someone to tell at a glance whether you are using the e-liquid cartridge or one of the others. This means no one ever knows for sure what you are doing, even if they do see what you are holding.<\/div>

Overall Experience<\/h3>\n

I personally prefer the performance of dedicated devices, but the V2 Pro Series 3X is a great option for anyone looking for a 3-in-1 device. There isn\u2019t anything out there that does a better job than this, especially in this portable of a package.<\/p>\n

It produces real vapor from all 3 modes, and the build quality is good. I\u2019d like to see better temperature control, but I guess you can\u2019t have everything.<\/p>\n

Where the Series 3x really shines is with the improvements made to the e-liquid tanks, flavor and vapor production is very impressive, if not the most impressive from a pen vape. If you are a vaper and looking for something super portable this is definitely one to check out.<\/p>\n
