Billed as \u201cone of the world\u2019s finest\u201d vaporizers, you should expect something exciting out of the Paragon, right?\u00a0<\/span>Not so fast. We\u2019ve all been down this road before. Review:\u00a0Cloud Pen Paragon<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"How<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

How it Works<\/h3>\n

The Paragon is pretty average when it comes to how it works. It\u2019s a one-button design. You click that button 5 times to turn it on. You can cycle between three temperature settings. When you want to take a draw, you hold the button for five seconds and then inhale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pretty normal procedures when it comes to vaping.\u00a0<\/span>There are two things about this that are unique though. For one, it has a built in NoGoo jar. These are supposed to stick less than most, and it is a convenient place to carry your concentrate. It also has an airflow setting, which is common on e-cig box mods but rare on herbal concentrate pens.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/div><\/div>

\n

\"Temperature<\/a><\/p>\n

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Temperature flexibility isn\u2019t great. You only have three settings to choose from similar to the Linx Ember Kit<\/a>, which is really just one step above the bare minimum (not having any control). <\/span><\/p>\n

And for that matter, you aren\u2019t actually controlling the temperature in the Paragon, just the voltage.\u00a0<\/span>There are many option out there that offer much more control. The Paragon will get the job done, but it isn\u2019t deserving of any awards in this respect.<\/span><\/strong><\/div><\/div>

\n

\"Vapor<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

We found the vapor quality to be average as well. Average isn\u2019t bad, but it isn\u2019t anything special either if you are looking for something like the Utillian 5 (V4)<\/a>. The Paragon will put out respectable vapor that gets the job done. <\/span><\/p>\n

The atomizer style (dual quartz rod w\/ titanium coil) helps to protect the flavor, and the chamber is big enough to get big hits and\/or a long session. Other good features include the wide mouthpiece and the airflow adjuster.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But the limited heat settings prevent you from really dialing the experience to your own preferences, and there are definitely units out there that put out a smoother final product. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In this department, the Paragon doesn\u2019t impress but doesn\u2019t disappoint either.<\/span><\/strong><\/div><\/div><\/span>

\"Manufacturing<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Manufacturing\u00a0Quality<\/h3>\n

The manufacturing quality seems to be good. We didn\u2019t have any problems with leaks, and everything functioned as it should. The best features are probably the bigger than average battery and the built-in concentrate container like the Yocan Evolve Plus<\/span><\/a>, as these both help with portability.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One concerning thing in regards to the overall quality is the warranty attached to this device. The atomizer is covered for a month from purchase, while the battery is only covered for a year. Compared to other vape pens, this is short. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

While there\u2019s no way to tell yet, you have to wonder why they wouldn\u2019t cover it for longer if it was expected to last.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/div><\/div>\u00a0<\/span>

\"Cloud<\/a><\/p>\n

Battery Life<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

As indicated above, the battery is a good size. At 2100mAh, you should have plenty of juice to last you through a day or more of moderate vaping.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the biggest battery we\u2019ve seen in concentrate pens like the Focus V Tourist that comes with 18650 mAh<\/span>, but it\u2019s still bigger than average.<\/span><\/strong><\/div><\/div>

\n

\"Portability<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Portability<\/h3>\n

The portability of the Paragon is probably its strongest feature, unlike devices like the Puffco Peak<\/a> that is just below average in terms of the portable device. I started talking about it above, but it\u2019s worth repeating: the combination of a big battery and a design that features a place to hold your concentrate make this a very convenient concentrate pen to use on the go.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The battery should last up to 8 hours, and the NoGoo jar has enough room to last even heavy users through the day, especially if you pre-pack the chamber.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/div><\/div>

\"Ease<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

Almost all wax pens are very easy to use, and this is no exception. The Paragon is very beginner friendly. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The one-button design keeps things simple and the fact that it’s all self contained is a nice add-on too. However, users looking for units that besides being easy to use have more coil options tend to prefer devices like the Source Orb 4 Premium Kit<\/a>.<\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/div><\/div>

\"Cloud<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Discreetness<\/h3>\n

There are smaller units out there like the Linx Blaze<\/a>, which is something to think about if discretion is important to you. The wax container at the bottom of the pen is mentioned by many as a feature in this category, but in our experience, it really doesn\u2019t help at all. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

If discretion is really that important to you, you\u2019ll have better luck loading your atomizer before hand. The jar on the bottom of this is convenient, but it doesn\u2019t really do anything to help you be more discreet.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/div><\/div>

\"Overall<\/a><\/p>\n

Overall Experience<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

In our experience, the Paragon is an average vape pen at an average price. This isn\u2019t necessarily a bad thing. But we aren\u2019t going to lie to you and say that this is one of the best vaporizers we\u2019ve ever used either.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are just looking for a unit that can get the job done and you find a deal on this one, it might make sense to pick one up.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, there are a lot of other vaporizers out there that you may want to check out. The Utillian 2 Wax Pen<\/a> will offer better flavor and a wider range of atomizers included, and the ZEUS Thunder\u00a02 offers a similar experience but at a lower entry point.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
