They\u2019ve stepped the game up once again here. You have 5 wattage settings to pick between with the new M2 kit, as well as an auto-run feature, which will turn the power up the heating for 15 seconds after a brief double click. This makes it perfect for tossing off to friends or strangers or extended hits through a bubbler. The 5 power settings are as follows – Green – 7w, Yellow – 13w, Red – 17w, Purple – 21w, and Blue at 27w.<\/p>\n

Not to mention you have several atomizers to choose from, all with different performance characteristics and functions! Playing around with them is good fun and you\u2019ll soon discover which you like most. Every atomizer included performs exceptionally however and definitely some of the best performance from a wax vaporizer you can get!<\/p>\n

The Orb with its unique shape also provides some cooling before the hit reaches your lungs, which helps reduce irritation. You can either get massive, powerful hits or light, flavorful draws depending on your temperature setting. There\u2019s a ton of versatility and it\u2019s hard to say which coil performs best! However, users looking for units that offer even more atomizers can take a look at Source Orb 4 Signature Kit<\/a> which has 10 atomizers to choose from.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

The built in storage container is super convenient. We\u2019ve seen this on units like the Yocan Evolve Plus<\/a> and we\u2019re always glad to see it on other devices too. The Orb itself is very well made and you certainly get what you pay for in terms of included accessories. The M2 redesign also features VAS (variable airflow system) which allows you to switch up your experience and fine tune your hit.<\/p>\n

Included in the box is an awesome array of atomizers including:1 each SOURCE nail max (10mm) in titanium and quartz, 1 SOURCE Terra 2 with Terra core, 1 triple quartz coil, 1 triple black ceramic coil, 1 double quartz coil, 1 double black ceramic coil, charger, dab tool, the battery itself, and the Orb 4 M2 itself. A great piece of kit for those who want a bunch of versatility.<\/p>\n

Battery Life<\/h3>\n

For such a great atomizer selection and build quality, 700mAh, unfortunately, doesn\u2019t the orb justice. For casual users, 700mAh will likely last all day, but for those who medicate constantly throughout the day that amount of power will definitely be lackluster when you need to charge up throughout the day or move to a unit with a bigger battery like the Utillian 5 (V4)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 14500 battery is removable, a big plus. However, not many stores stock this size cell and it\u2019s not even that common online.<\/p>\n

Portability<\/h3>\n

The Orb is a bit of a strange, oblong shape. The premium kit features a pen-shaped battery which is definitely easy to slip into your pocket and lightweight. The magnetic mouthpiece is surely convenient but prone to coming off while in your pocket. Pocket-lint mixed in with your wax is not something you want to vape! Some users tend to prefer units like the Linx Hypnos Zero <\/span><\/a>that is just 10 cm long, extremely portable, and prone to leakage.<\/p>\n

Still, the odd size of the Orb doesn\u2019t make it difficult to carry at all and it shouldn\u2019t be a problem taking it around in your pocket.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Wax pens in general are quite simple to use. The Orb 4 M2 may have a couple more steps to it however when it comes to tuning. For starters, the sheer amount of coils included with the device almost makes it a hard choice to pick which one to use! The adjustable airflow will take some time for you to discover what works best for you. Beyond that, actually using it for wax hits is quite simple and passive it to friends it quite easy. First time users usually tend to prefer devices like the Linx Ember wax pen <\/a><\/span>that has fewer options to choose from and more easy to use.<\/p>\n

Cleaning is also a simple task. Simply disassemble the atomizer and mouthpiece, remove any o-rings, and drop them all into a glass full of isopropyl alcohol. Let it sit and swirl it around for about 5 minutes. Give the parts a rinse with distilled water and let it dry before you have a session. Should be good as new! Or you could also get the Zeus purifying cleaning kit<\/a> which helps accelerate the cleaning process.<\/p>\n

Discreetness<\/h3>\n

Unlike the Puffco Peak<\/a>, the vast majority of people, they\u2019ll dismiss it as a normal e-juice vape pen. This makes it quite discreet and of course its size is pretty innocuous. Nothing about it really reveals that you have some thick wax hits ready on demand.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Overall Experience<\/h3>\n

We really love the performance and huge variety you get with the array of atomizers. This hits can be huge, powerful, and potent. A top contender for sure. On the other hand the battery is a bit lackluster for heavy and frequent users, and the 14500 battery form factor isn\u2019t so common.<\/p>\n

We prefer the larger battery capacity of something like the Utillian 5 (V4)<\/a>, which is able to pump out the clouds with the amount of power and last several days on a charge.<\/p>\n

The built-in storage container is a huge plus, and really the M2 is a solid improvement over the original. It\u2019s a great little device, but we personally prefer the Source Orb 4 M2 Signature kit instead. Worth the increase in price for sure!<\/p>\n
