How it Works<\/span><\/h2>\n

To use the Yocan Pillar with wax concentrates, follow these simple steps:<\/b><\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Pick a coil \u2013 Choose one of the two coil options and thread it into the 510 coil adapter.
\nStep 2:<\/strong> Load your concentrate using the dab tool.
\nStep 3:<\/strong> Fill the bubbler \u2013 Fill the glass bubbler with water to the recommended fill line.
\nStep 4:<\/strong> Turn the unit on by pressing the power button five times.
\nStep 5:<\/strong> Select your desired temperature setting by pressing the power button once for each setting.
\nStep 6:<\/strong> Wait until the device vibrates and the LED lights turn solid, indicating it has reached the selected temperature.<\/p>\n

You can choose either the auto-mode or on-demand mode by pressing the power button twice.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Yocan Pillar works pretty similarly to other E Rigs; it’s surprisingly easy to use and operate, considering its very affordable price point. That being said, in the next segment, we will go into its Vapor Quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Yocan Pillar is a device that can produce a decent amount of vapor at its highest temperature. It uses TGT coil technology (Target Tech) to give you more vapor and flavor from your concentrates. The TGT coils have a ceramic bowl that heats up evenly and efficiently, theoretically getting the most out of your material. However, in reality, the vapor quality is not great. The vapor is harsh and lacks fullness and flavor. The Pillar does have adjustable airflow, which can improve vapor density, but honestly, using anything less than full airflow will not be good.<\/span><\/p>\n

Considering its price, some users might find this device useful. It can be handy if you have low-quality concentrates and want to travel with an affordable E Rig without risking damage to a more expensive piece. However, if you’re looking for a consistent and budget-friendly E-Rig, you might want to check out the <\/span>Utillian 8<\/span><\/a>. It has a temperature control feature and a 3D heating chamber.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Yocan Pillar has somewhat decent manufacturing quality, but it definitely has a lot of room for improvement. For example, it has a battery capacity of 1400 mAh, which is decent but not outstanding, especially for an e-rig.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Yocan Pillar is made of zinc alloy and borosilicate glass. The zinc alloy gives it a sturdy and durable feel, and the glass bubbler provides a smooth and cool vapor experience. The materials used are of high quality and can withstand high temperatures and occasional drops. However, some users may prefer a more premium material, such as stainless steel or ceramic, for the body of the device. These materials are more resistant to corrosion and scratches and can also improve the flavor and purity of the vapor.<\/span><\/p>\n

The lower temperature setting is ideal for smooth and flavorful vapor, while the higher temperature setting is ideal for thick and potent vapor. You can also experiment with different settings to find your sweet spot.<\/p>\n

The Yocan Pillar does not have precise temperature control, which means you cannot adjust the temperature by degrees. However, the device has an adjustable airflow control that allows you to customize your draw resistance and vapor density.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Yocan Pillar’s portability is average but not impressive. It may not suit users who prefer smaller or lighter devices such as <\/span>Wax Pens<\/span><\/a>. When using the glass bubbler, the unit becomes more noticeable and fragile, making it less suitable for outdoor or public use.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Yocan Pillar does have some features that help improve its portability, such as the USB-C charging, the magnetic coil adapter, and the adjustable airflow control. These features make it easier to charge, use, and customize the device on the go. However, it also lacks some features that could enhance its portability, such as a battery level indicator, a pass-through functionality, and a carrying case.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Yocan Pillar battery is suitable for moderate or regular users but may not be enough for heavy or frequent users who need longer sessions or higher temperatures. In this case, I would look at another very budget-friendly option like the <\/span>Core 2.1<\/span><\/a>, which comes with a 3150 mAh, more than double.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Yocan Pillar features USB-C charging, which is a big plus. It also comes with an LED indicator that shows the battery level and the temperature setting. The LED will flash red 10 times when the battery is low and needs to be recharged. It will also pulse red while charging and remain solid red when fully charged. The charging time is about 2 hours, which is reasonable but not very fast.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ease of Use<\/h2>\n

The Yocan Pillar offers a pretty user-friendly and hassle-free dabbing experience. Its affordable nature makes its design simple. It features a single button that controls all the functions of the device. You can turn it on and off, switch between temperature settings, and choose between operating modes with just a few clicks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The device also has some features that improve your vaping experience and functionality. It has an LED indicator that shows the battery level and the temperature setting. It also has a 30-second cut-off feature that prevents overheating and preserves battery life.<\/span><\/p>\n

The glass bubbler feature adds water filtration and cooling to your vapor, enhancing the smoothness and flavor. The bubbler is easy to fill and attach without too much hassle, which was one of my worries with the cheaper device since these devices usually have issues with their connectors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall, it works pretty much the same as any other E Rig in terms of use, just not as well in terms of quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall Experience<\/span><\/h2>\n

E-rigs<\/span><\/a> are usually complex devices, especially when they are designed to perform at a high level. In my opinion, the Yocan Pillar did fairly well considering its price, but I didn’t enjoy using it enough to use it every day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yocan made a good choice by using TGT coil technology, which provides acceptable vapor quality and flavor while also avoiding common issues like clogging or leaking.
