Discrete Vape has been leading the market when it comes to discreet vaporizers for a while thanks to their puffer-shaped units. They provide people the ability to enjoy covert sessions while they\u2019re out and about, but they do leave something to be desired as the customers in the industry crave more versatile units. As if in response to that, Discrete Vape made and released this unit, the Puffit 2, which seems to improve upon the faults of its predecessors and even add in some new capabilities. What\u2019s new with this unit? Let\u2019s get into the Puffit 2 vaporizer review to see!<\/p>\n

What’s up Youtube? This is Keagan for TorontoV TV. Let’s have a look at the Puffit 2 from Discreet Vape, the makers of the Puffit and Puffit X portable vaporizers. First I’ll tell you what’s in the box then we’re getting to how it works.
\nInside the Puffit 2 box you’ll find the Puffit 2s housing, the heating module, the battery module, one cleaning and packing tool, one heat shroud, one USB charging cable, one concentrate insert, cleaning wipes, replacement screens, one mouthpiece cap, and if you order with us you can also choose to receive a free Zeus Bolt Grinder that’s made of aircraft-grade aluminum.
\nThe first thing you want to do to your unit is sterilize it. To do that, attach the battery module to the heating module and use the selection button to select the highest temperature setting. Once you’ve done that put the battery and heating module into the housing and press down onto the top until you feel a long buzz. The heartbeat buzzing that follows will indicate that the unit is heating up to the selected temperature. Once you feel two long buzzes the unit has reached temperature. You need to repeat this process after 12 seconds 2 more times to completely sterilize the unit. Once you’re done, it’s ready to load.
\nTo load your unit you’ll need two things. The first is either extracts or ground dried botanical. To grind up your botanical we suggest using the Zeus Bolt Grinder. The Bolt Grinder has been calibrated to grind up your botanical to the perfect consistency. That means it’s fine enough to be properly vaporized inside of your unit but not so fine that it falls through the screens. To use your unit with concentrates first make sure that the screen with a hole in the middle has been inserted into the heating module. Then apply your concentrates to the inner walls of the heating chamber before pushing the concentrate insert into the heating chamber until the top of the concentrate insert is flushed with the top of the heating chamber. Once you’re done the heating chamber can be closed. To use your unit with dried botanical make sure that the standard screen has been put onto the heating module then open up the heating chamber and fill it completely for the best heat transfer. Once you’ve done that the heating chamber can be closed.
\nThe Puffit 2 has 4 temperature settings. Level 1 is 170 \u00b0C, level 2 is 185 \u00b0C, level 3 is 195 \u00b0C, level 4 is 220 \u00b0C. For best results we suggest vaporizing dried botanical on level 3 or level 4. For extracts we suggest going straight to level 4. Once you’ve selected your temperature, put the battery and heating module back inside the housing and press down on top until you feel a long buzz. The heartbeat buzzing that follows will indicate that the unit is heating up to the temperature you selected. Once you feel two long buzzes, the unit is ready to go and you can start enjoying your vapor. You need to repeat this process every 12 seconds to enjoy your vapor until your botanical is fully vaporized.
\nTo wrap this video up I’d like to tell you guys about some of the impressive features of the Puffit 2 that make it a great unit. The first is that it’s portable. Because it’s so small it’s easy to take with you no matter where you need to go. The second thing is that it’s discreet. Because of it’s form factor it makes it easy to enjoy stealthy sessions while you’re on the go. The third thing is that it’s modular. And because it’s modular other parts can be easily replaced to extend the life of your unit.
\nThe Puffit 2 is a great vaporizer for connoisseurs who like to enjoy private sessions in public settings.

How It Works<\/h3>\n

To use this unit, the first thing you\u2019ll have to do is attach the heating module to the battery module and select your temperature. Once you\u2019ve done that, open up the heating chamber and load it either with your dry botanical or extracts before closing it and inserting it into the shell. Next, press the top of the battery down until you feel a vibration that signals the unit is on. The pulsing vibrations that follow mean the unit is heating up, and once the unit stops pulsing, you can take a draw from the unit. You\u2019ll need to re-engage the heating chamber every 13 seconds or so to keep the session going but other than that you can just relax and enjoy your vapor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

With this unit you can choose between 3 temperature settings: 170 Celsius, 185 Celsius, 195 Celsius, and 220 Celsius. This is an alright range of temperatures and is a step up in terms of range from the previous units, but doesn\u2019t allow you to really fine tune the vapor to your liking if that\u2019s what you need from your unit.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

The vapor from this unit isn\u2019t bad. The range of temperatures allows you to get thick and satisfying vapor or thin and flavorful vapor to suit your preferences. There isn\u2019t much distance between your mouth and the heating chamber, so the vapor doesn\u2019t have much time to cool on its way to your mouth. This makes for pretty warm and sort of irritating vapor at times.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

The Puffit 2 is reasonably well made, but it does leave a lot to be desired. To keep in line with the puffer look, the Puffit is made mostly of plastic, and in this iteration of the Puffit, the plastic is actually thinner plastic that feels a bit lower quality which really drags down the overall quality of this unit. The battery and heating module feel a bit higher quality, but those components don\u2019t make up the entirety of the unit.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Battery Life<\/h3>\n

The Puffit 2 has an improved battery life over the original. This allows you to vaporize for longer, and the improve position of the battery means it won\u2019t be exposed to heat so the life of the battery will be better over time.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n\"Portability\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Portability<\/h3>\n

This unit is small, like a normal puffer, which makes it really easy to carry around. To make it even easier, you can take the unit apart to make it even easier to carry around with you. With its 75% improved battery life and ability to handle extracts, this unit can be used on the go for a long while before you need to recharge it.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

The Puffit 2 has a few places where it can be a bit of a problem to use and feel less convenient. The first is the putting together of the 3 pieces, which isn\u2019t obvious as far as how the heating module fits on the battery module. Loading and reloading the unit is also a bit difficult thanks to the magnetic lid for the heating chamber and the need to pull the battery and heating module out of the shell to do that. Once it\u2019s put together and loaded, it is pretty convenient to use.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The Puffit 2 is a great choice for anybody looking for the discreetness of the Puffit-style vaporizer but with the versatility to handle more than just dry botanical. This unit may lack some in manufacturing quality, but it makes up for it with discreetness and versatility.
