This time around we\u2019re doing a side to side comparison of the newly updated Mighty Plus<\/a> against the last round\u2019s winner, the Utillian 722 to see if Storz & Bickels<\/a> new offering has got what it takes to finally come out on top and take all the glory.<\/span><\/div>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

Truth be told, not much has changed when it comes to the overall vapor quality between these two dry herb vaporizers. While the Mighty+ makes use of a brand new ceramic coating in their heating chamber, it doesn’t make a noticeable impact where flavor and vapor output is concerned.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Utillian 722 on the other hand has remained unchanged. It doesn’t have the precise temperature control of the Mighty+, but those looking for potent and flavorful sessions won\u2019t be left wanting anyway as the Utillian 722 manages to stand its ground with its powerful yet well-calibrated power output.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both the devices now feature a boost mode, a function that was previously missing with the old Mighty, although the Utillian 722 still manages to output a slightly higher overall temperature compared to the Mighty+<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

While the Mighty+ and Utillian 722 are both very well built, both devices go very different routes in terms of aesthetics.\u00a0 With its use of medical grade plastic, the Mighty+ looks just like its predecessor did on the outside, so those that didn’t take a liking to it\u2019s obtrusive design won\u2019t be changing their opinions on the design anytime soon. The Mighty+ is also comically large for a portable vaporizer and will most likely need its own storage solution if you\u2019re looking to take it out for a spin outside the house.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Utillian 722 takes a step towards the opposite end of the spectrum with a premium feeling aluminum alloy shell that\u2019s smooth to the touch and a lot more discreet compared to the Mighty+. The much smaller form factor and lack of serrated fins on the Utillian 722 make it more comfortable to hold than the Mighty+ not to mention it\u2019s also easier to slip the device in and out of your pocket for easy access.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Both the Mighty+ and Utillian have a very straightforward approach to vaporizing dry herb and neither will give even the most neophyte of users a hard time when it comes to figuring out what\u2019s what during the setup and operation of either devices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For those who like to pack their herb straight into the chamber without the use of dosing capsules, the Mighty+ does make it a bit harder as it still maintains that gap between the bowl and the sides of the exterior shell where stray dry herb can fall into. Not only does this make setting up the Mighty+ a bit more time-consuming, but cleaning up all that herb after can turn into a massive chore as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Utillian 722 definitely has the edge in this department thanks to its relatively easier setup and maintenance. Its design eliminates the hassle of stray herb getting trapped, making both loading and cleaning far more convenient. That\u2019s one of the reasons it\u2019s a popular choice among users looking for a no-fuss experience, and you can find it through<\/span> Apollo Cannabis<\/span><\/a> if you\u2019re after something built for simplicity.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

We\u2019d definitely pay good money to see anyone try to conveniently stuff the Mighty+ into their pocket. While it\u2019s still technically categorized as a handheld portable vaporizer, it’s definitely one of the least portable and least pocketable ones around. The huge size and serrated fins on the exterior of the Mighty+ are the main contributors to this so anyone looking to take their Mighty+ outside their homes will definitely need a separate carrying case to transport this monster of a vaporizer.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Utillian 722 on the other hand is svelte and sleek with its smooth aluminum shell. While it\u2019s not the smallest vaporizer we\u2019ve laid our hands on, the entire package looks tiny when matched up against the sheer bulk and size of the Mighty+<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

Power users will definitely take a liking to the more precise temperature control that the Mighty+ offers. The digital display doesn’t see any changes this time around but considering how effective the old screen was at displaying and relaying info to the user, we don’t think any improvements are required.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Utillian 722 might be a bit easier for those new to vaporizing to get into as the simple temperature presets make it quick and simple to lock on an optimized vaping temperature the first time around. The higher temperature that the Utillian 722 offers should also appeal to cloud chasers and those looking for harder hitting sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n

We still have to give the win to the Mighty+ in this department though. Its digital display is a nice touch especially now that it\u2019s managed to incorporate a boost feature similar to what the Utillian 722 uses.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

SHOWDOWN<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

If we take the Mighty+<\/a> and cut down its size and price by a good 70%, it would get the definite win from us. The digital display is really handy especially when it comes to monitoring live temperatures and battery life. <\/span>Unfortunately, that isn’t the case here as the Mighty+ is double the size and triple the price of the Utillian 722, so while it may eke out the Utillian 723<\/a> ever so slightly in battery life and temperature flexibility, the sheer size and price of the Mighty+ makes it slightly less desirable overall.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Utillian 722 despite the lack of precise temperature control and digital display is no slouch when it comes to outputting massive clouds of great tasting vapor. <\/span><\/p>\n

While the Mighty+ does also have the advantage of using a USB C charging port, paying $400 or more simply isn’t worth it as it already ventures into Volcano pricing territory. As far as portable dry herb vapes go, the Utillian 722 comes out on top.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n
