With three temperature settings, a preheat automatic mode, and on-demand heating, you can dab whichever way suits your needs. This is slightly better than I expected from this unit due to its low-end budget nature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lookah Unicorn 2.0 doesn’t hold back when it comes to giving you control over your vaping experience. You can easily adjust the heat with three preset temperature settings to match your preference.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These settings are easy to understand and will work for most people. One thing to remember is that you won’t get very tasty vapor, but if you use lower settings, the flavor will be slightly better than with higher settings. The heating elements don’t have a temperature sensor, so you can’t adjust your sessions precisely. However, there are some options that can slightly change the final outcome. The higher settings will produce more vapor quickly, but the vapor will also be harsher in terms of quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h2>\n

The vapor quality of Lookah Unicorn 2.0 largely depends on the temperature settings used. Since temperatures are not precise or consistent, the vapor quality tends to differ from hit to hit. Think of it this way: whatever the temperature setting is set to, it\u2019s probably slightly higher, so in this case, using lower temperatures provided the best results in terms of flavor.<\/span><\/p>\n

It seems that Lookah wasn\u2019t overly concerned with creating flavorful vapor and more so with designing a nice-looking unit to get the job done. A large amount of silicone is used to connect parts, which is cost-effective but will reduce the overall quality of the end result. Due to the use of Silicone, the vapor quality doesn\u2019t feel good. The device also gets hot with the use of the atomizer. You can also notice the smell of the silicon as it\u2019s not UV-tested.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That said, vapor quality is not the Unicorn\u2019s strong suit. I would say this feels like a decent Wax Pen with water filtration, although even saying that, a unit like the <\/span>Utillian 5<\/span><\/a> would probably produce better results on its own <\/span>bubbler<\/span><\/a>. It doesn\u2019t reach the level of what I would expect from an Electric Dab Rig.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h2>\n

When it comes to the quality of the Lookah Unicorn 2.0, it’s all about how it looks. They paid attention to details and focused on making it aesthetically pleasing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lookah used its expertise in glass to make the Lookah Unicorn 2.0 even better. The glass mouthpiece seems strong, which is the only positive thing I can say about it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, let’s take a closer look at the build quality of the Unicorn 2.0. There are three main parts: the base, the atomizer coil, and the water-cooling percolator. Unfortunately, silicone is used in many places where the vapor goes during your session. They included a silicone cap to prevent splashing, but I think it only reduces the quality of the vapor. The reason why this really didn’t make sense to me was that there are other electric dab rigs that are at a very similar price point that actively avoid the use of silicone as much as possible, like the <\/span>Original Core<\/span><\/a> or the <\/span>Utillian 8<\/span><\/a> if you want a slightly more expensive alternative.<\/span><\/p>\n

The magnetic connections at the top and bottom and the design focused on the coil make loading and cleaning easier. The single-button control is also straightforward. If you have some experience with E rigs, you can figure out how to use them. However, it might not be easy for beginners or those who haven’t used an E Rig before. Battery Life<\/h2>\n

The Lookah Unicorn 2.0 has a 1900 mAh battery. This battery life could be improved compared to the <\/span>Utillian 8<\/span><\/a>, which has a 3150 mAh battery that lasts several days without needing to be recharged for moderate usage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lookah states that when using the Quartz Core, your battery becomes more efficient and can last up to 90 minutes. I would say that this is true to some extent but it limits the use of the other heating elements and almost makes them irrelevant except for specific cases.<\/span><\/p>\n

I also expected the USB-C charging feature. As you need to charge it with the typical USB charger, it takes some time to charge your device. Also, no auto shut-off feature like in Utiilian 8 can prevent your device from draining the battery too fast. However, Lookah Unicorn 2.0 comes with built-in over-voltage and short-circuit protection which are useful features to help you avoid unwanted nuisances.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Portability<\/p>\n

Portability<\/h2>\n

When it comes to traveling with your Dab Rig<\/a>, the Lookah Unicorn 2.0 has both positive and negative aspects. While e-rigs, in general, are not the most portable gadgets available, they do offer an improvement over the traditional rig and torch setup. However, they still cannot match the compact convenience of a <\/span>wax pen<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lookah Unicorn 2.0 is not specifically designed for travel and is better suited for use at home. This is evident from the fact that it uses a USB connection instead of the more travel-friendly USB-C. That being said, it is still possible to travel with it, although it may not be the most convenient option for using this unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

While Lookah has certainly aimed to provide customization with this device, I discovered that selecting a single heating element and temperature setting that suited me was more effective than constantly adjusting various settings throughout my session. This is partly because accessing the chamber requires removing the entire top glass, which is a common feature in some devices but reduces the desire to experiment with the unit’s settings extensively.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for becoming accustomed to the unit, it’s really not that difficult. Once you overcome the slight learning curve and determine your preference’s optimal settings, it’s quite straightforward and delivers the promised results.<\/span><\/p>\n

While there are cheaper options available that may not perform as well, I doubt many users would truly enjoy them, even if they are new to this category. On the other hand, slightly more expensive units like the <\/span>Utillian 8<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Core 2.1<\/span><\/a> offer superior quality sessions.
