How to use<\/h3>\n

Just like the previous Healthy Rips vaporizers, the Healthy Rips rogue is used by way of buttons and OLED display. The power button will turn the unit on after a quick triple-click. Using the + and – buttons will adjust your temperature accordingly.<\/p>\n

The best way how to use the Healthy Rips Rogue is by packing it full with ground dry herb and packing it in just a little bit. You can of course use the full un-ground herb in it, however, the performance will not be quite as good as if you use it.<\/p>\n

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

\nAt 280\u00b0F – 430\u00b0F \/ 138\u00b0C – 221\u00b0C, you\u2019re given plenty of room to play with in terms of the ideal temperature setting. We\u2019d recommend around 190\u00b0C (375\u00b0F) for first-timers and adjusting it as you feel necessary.<\/p>\n

We enjoy this really wide range too because it\u2019s great for vaporizing alternative herbs such as sage or damiana which prefer a lower setting than most vaporizers offer. All in all, the Healthy Rips Rogue does great with the temperature variety.<\/p>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

Ever since the Fury 2 released we\u2019ve seen a big wave of compact hybrid herb vaporizers hit the market. Next the Healthy Rips Fierce, Fury Edge and now the Rogue, each of these incremental upgrades has shown us the power that portable dry herb vaporizers can yield.<\/p>\n

In this case, the Rogue hits it out of the park with delicious and thick vapor, depending on how you set your temperature. A slightly increased chamber size of 13mm (up from 11mm on the Fury Edge) allows for even more herb to be packed in and increase the potential of the vaporizer.<\/p>\n

If we\u2019re completely honest, it still doesn\u2019t beat out the likes of the Mighty Plus<\/a> and MiniVAP in terms of smoothness or flavor, however it definitely closes the gap a good amount compared to devices of generations past. It also heats up in about 20 seconds which is definitely nice and speedy!<\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

Consistent with previous units, the Healthy Rips Rogue uses a Kirksite alloy device with a matte rubberized coating. Nice grip, great in the hands, sleek, and discreet – all things nice.<\/p>\n

In terms of reliability we\u2019ve seen Healthy Rips devices be pretty robust with errors and faulty units being few and far between.<\/p>\n

What you get in the box is a full kit including o-rings, protective cover, glass mouthpiece, regular mouthpiece, cleaning kit, user manual, charger, and other small bits and bobs. Overall, it\u2019s top notch and we can\u2019t find anything to complain about – especially for the price. <\/div><\/div>

Battery Life<\/h3>\n

<\/span>
\n3,000mAh is what the Healthy Rips Rogue has for a battery. To put that into perspective, the Fury Edge had a 2300mAh cell and the Fury 2 a teeny 1600mAh chunk of power.<\/p>\n

USB-C quick-charging to top up in less than 2 hours seals the deal and while it\u2019s not a removable 18650 battery, we\u2019re not too bothered about that. In the end you\u2019ll get around 8-10 sessions from a single charge which is more than enough for prolonged sessions and adventures. <\/div><\/div>

Portability<\/h3>\n

<\/span>
\nModerately larger than the Fury Edge and hitting the scales at aprox. 189g\/6.7oz, it\u2019s definitely small enough to carry in the pocket or a bag without issue.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll still feel it in the pocket and take note of the little chunk, but it\u2019s by no means unwieldy or bothersome to take around. <\/div><\/div>

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

The Healthy Rips Rogue hits a sweet spot where you get lots of versatility by way of temperature control, session timer, and accessories, but still with super simple operation to get going. That\u2019s partly thanks to the OLED display.<\/p>\n

First-timers and vets alike will have a great time with picking up this unit and cleaning is also not such a hassle – simply soak the glass pieces and mouthpiece assembly in isopropyl alcohol and rinse after ~15 minutes. Should be clean as a whistle afterwards! <\/div><\/div>

Discreetness<\/h3>\n

While it\u2019s not petite like the G Pen Dash<\/a> or Dynavap M<\/a>, we don\u2019t reckon it\u2019ll bring much attention to you – especially with how common e-juice vapes are these days. The matte black design is inconspicuous and doesn\u2019t scream for attention.<\/p>\n

Of course using it public will generate some smell and unless you\u2019re a wizard, there\u2019s no way to make that disappear. Be mindful of where you are\/who you\u2019re around and you should be good!<\/p>\n

Healthy Rips has shown us time and time again that while they\u2019re not re-inventing the wheel, they\u2019re definitely making it roll better each time. This time we see a larger battery and larger bowl which is absolutely an improvement to us.<\/p>\n

Using their tried and true formula, they\u2019ve put out another great portable vape<\/a> which is a nice step in between budget vapes like the Utillian 420 and heavy hitters like the Storz & Bickel Crafty+<\/a>.<\/p>\n
