Review: Airistech Herbva Viva

How it Works<\/h3>\n

Simple enough, finely grind up some herb before throwing the device in the garbage bin. Jokes aside, some finely ground herb in the chamber, throw the mouthpiece on top and turn the device on with five quick clicks.<\/p>\n

The temperature can be adjusted with the appropriate buttons and then once it heats up you can turn it off without inhaling.<\/p>\n

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

With a reasonably good temperature range of 149-224\u00b0C or 300-435\u00b0F, there\u2019s plenty of potentials to finely tune and control the temperature at which the material vapes.<\/p>\n

This would be really great if the unit was quality, but unfortunately, it\u2019s a waste of good circuitry. Users looking for a good and reliable unit that provides precise temperature control usually tend to prefer devices like the Firefly 2+<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

Abysmal, abhorrent, terrible. Not enough adjectives can effectively describe the experience of vaping from the Viva or Mig vapor Matrix.<\/p>\n

First of all, the airflow is extremely tight, even without herb loaded in. Next is the factory smell which doesn\u2019t dissipate.<\/p>\n

Poor flavor, low cloud production, and overall just a waste of perfectly good herb. Did we mention it smells and tastes like a chemical factory? Users looking for a unit with good airflow usually tend to prefer units like the Solo 2<\/a> that all-glass vapor path.<\/div><\/div><\/span>

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

Completely garbage in every way. Marketed as \u2018premium\u2019, there is not a single surface on this device which represents that. The plastic mouthpiece has cracked on numerous people’s devices, the entire unit feels cheap, and it’s certainly not worth the price tag. It all feels and looks very cheap and no surprise, it is poor quality in every way. Users looking for a premium device usually tend to prefer the Zeus Arc GTS Hub<\/a> as it comes with a gold plated chamber and heat sink.<\/p>\n

In the box is a standard kit consisting of the device itself, USB charger, carrying pouch, user manual, cleaning brush, packing tool, and user manual.<\/p>\n

Battery Life<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Supposedly a 2200mAh lithium \u2018polymer\u2019 battery is packed inside. We do not feel like this is 2200mAh however as other conduction devices like the Utillian 421<\/a>\u00a0and Flowermate Slick<\/a> both perform better.<\/p>\n

You can get about 5-6 sessions off with the Matrix before tossing it in the garbage bin or recharging the battery, whichever comes first.<\/p>\n

Portability<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s unfortunately bulky for the amount of wasted space it occupies. Not particularly heavy and fits in the pocket well, if you want to fill your pockets with useless junk, then this might just work well or you could get a LITL 1<\/a> which is both portable and low cost.<\/p>\n

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

Tossing something in the garbage you paid good money is very difficult. Beyond that, it\u2019s all very simple to operate. Similar to the Focus V Pro, it has the OLED display which is good for fine tuning the temperature setting and it’s not too complex as a whole.<\/p>\n

Cleaning is simple as a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol will clean the chamber out quickly. The mouthpiece, however, is sensitive to cleaning agents and not easily cleaned at all.<\/p>\n

Discreetness<\/h3>\n

It\u2019ll look like your average budget e-cig for sure. Most people wouldn\u2019t bat an eye, however, any odor of dry herb will be very apparent once the device is heated up and in use. Not quite as much as smoking but certainly noticeable. Users looking something more discreet to stay low key usually tend to prefer units like the Davinci Miqro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Overall Experience<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

We wouldn\u2019t recommend this device to anyone. Our review of the Airistech Viva has been very deserving as it presents a risk to any users with cheap materials and off-gassing and we recommend avoiding it at all costs.<\/p>\n

To add to that, the vapor quality is about as lackluster is it gets and infinitely better results can be had from other budget devices like the Utillian 420 or Flowermate V5 Nano<\/a>. Alternatively, we also recommend checking out our Da Vinci Miqro review<\/a> for its similar portability but superior performance and build quality across the board.<\/p>\n
