We\u2019ve reviewed the first installment of the Levo oil infuser<\/a> and came away impressed for its small scale purposes, even at the pretty high price point. They\u2019ve upped the game and made some changes to the original. Now with WiFi smartphone app integration, \u2018power pods\u2019, and other ease of use features, we\u2019re keen to see how this luxury herb appliance is.<\/p>\n

How it Works<\/h3>\n

It looks like a Keurig and has even more features than one. First, you\u2019ll want to fill up the pod with your herb. Use the power pod to practically double the amount of herb inside for extra powerful infusions. You can then decarboxylate your herb with the function \u2013 a big upgrade over the first version! Add your medium (choice of oil\/butter\/other) and get cooking!<\/p>\n

If you are a person who uses a vaporizer like the\u00a0Zeus Arc GTS Hub<\/a>\u00a0and saves your ABV, you can just toss that straight into the MagicalButter as it has already been decarbed.<\/p>\n

At that point, you can tinker with a whole slew of settings \u2013 temperature, duration, and so forth. You can now do this remotely through your phone to make adjustments on the fly away from home. The future is now.<\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

The Levo was nice and all, but the Levo II really steps the game up similar to the Solo 2<\/a>. It\u2019s attractive, modern, chic, and perfectly designed for what we think is the target audience. It\u2019s built well, ergonomic, and can be controlled with your phone for god’s sake. Pretty impressive if you ask me.<\/p>\n

We really expected a lot from such a price point and I\u2019d say it delivers. We definitely would\u2019ve liked to see some extra spare parts and pods for the cash though. As it sits, you get the device itself, a silicone stirrer, 19oz ceramic reservoir, power pod is all you get, though there\u2019s not much more you need anywho.\"Levo<\/p>\n

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

It seems a bit complex for an infusion device but it\u2019s quite simple to get the hang of. To put it short, we\u2019re sure your mother could figure out how to use it after a short bit of toying around.<\/p>\n

The parts are dishwasher safe which cuts down on cleaning time and overall the user interface is well put together. Easy enough for even the tech-illiterate to get the hang of. <\/div><\/div>

Performance<\/h3>\n

It works with spectacular fashion! Though you won\u2019t be pumping out mass quantities for huge batches of edibles, the end product is top notch.<\/p>\n

Retaining all the flavors, terpenes, and cannabinoids, you really get a nice and pure product.<\/p>\n

We quite liked using the power pod even with a different herb in the second compartment. Rosemary for example to make a really delightful infused olive oil that\u2019ll really make you feel like a culinary genius. We expected top-level performance at this price point and we\u2019re glad to say it delivers.\u00a0<\/div><\/div>

Overall Experience<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

For this price, you could get a high-quality smartphone or an oil infuser you can use with your phone! The Levo II has quite a price point out of reach for many, though if you\u2019re really, really looking to splurge for a top-notch oil infuser, the Levo II is about as good as you can get.<\/p>\n

You could easily pass with a budget device like the MagicalButter<\/a> and make infusions that come close in quality, however. Though the end product is quite great, you can certainly achieve similar results with more elbow work.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t control a cheaper solution remotely and deeply fine-tune your experience, however. We think it depends on how well versed you are at cooking with infusions themselves and how much energy you\u2019re willing to put in. For an easy yet top-notch product, the Levo will do that. It\u2019s hard to recommend it to everyone with the high cost, but for some, it\u2019s surely worth it.<\/p>\n
