It retains many of its bigger brothers key features while trimming it down by 33%. Has DaVinci pulled off a remarkable piece at an impressive size, or does it fall flat to its sibling? How it Works<\/h3>\n

The Miqro is even more streamlined than the IQ, giving you a streamlined and simple process. After popping the chamber open you\u2019ll want to fill it with finely ground herb, tamped down slightly to help its conductive properties.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve adjusted the pearl according to the bowl size you want to hit, you\u2019ll then reseal the lid and turn the unit on with the power button. After adjusting the temperature with the respective buttons and referring to the smart LED display to help you fine tune it, you\u2019ll want to wait roughly 40 seconds while it heats up. After that, just inhale and off you go!<\/p>\n

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

The Miqro features similar versatility and temperature control that we saw on the IQ. With 4 preset \u2018Smart Paths\u2019 to choose from and full precise adjustment between 350-430\u00b0F\/176-222\u00b0C. Users that are beginners usually prefer units with preset temperatures like the Zeus Arc GTS Hub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is plenty of room to dial in your ideal heat setting. The Smart Paths do a fantastic job at gradually stepping your temperature up throughout the session, forgoing the need to do it manually. <\/div><\/div>

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

The Miqro has surprisingly smooth vapor for such a small unit. It\u2019s not quite as cool and smooth as its bigger brother, however, it definitely passes the sensitive lung test.<\/p>\n

We found that with larger hits that the heater wasn\u2019t able to keep up, and so you can\u2019t get the largest clouds and heaviest hits imaginable.<\/p>\n

Still, it produces above average clouds and the flavor is definitely very good, especially considering it\u2019s a conduction based heat system. Users that prefer high quality vapors usually to lean towards devices like the Utillian 723<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The bowl is notably smaller than on the IQ, being only around 0.2 grams when fully packed. This is definitely enough for one person and maybe two, however, you\u2019ll definitely need to reload it once or two for larger groups.<\/p>\n

With a bubbler, it\u2019ll cool down the vapor even better and provide you with large and smooth hits. I wouldn\u2019t consider using concentrates with the Miqro often, however with small loads sandwiched between layers of dry herb, it\u2019ll perform reasonably well in a pinch.<\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

If you’ve read our DaVinci IQ2 review<\/a>, you’ll be happy to know that build quality on the Miqro is every bit as good. The packaging on the Miqro is well thought of. The product itself matches that quality, feeling sturdy and elegant like the Mighty Plus vaporizer<\/a>. It holds very nicely in the hand and has a nice heft to it without being too weighty. All the accessories and parts feel well machined and you can tell there was a lot of attention to detail with it.<\/p>\n

The Miqro with the explorers kit comes with a huge bundle of accessories including: 2 18350 batteries<\/a>, cleaning kit<\/a>, battery & herb travel case<\/a>, spare stirring tool, flat mouthpiece, 10mm extended mouthpiece, USB cable, carrying case, card grinder, cleaning swabs, spare gaskets, and user manual. \"DaVinciThe one thing we will mention is the Miqro does tend to get hot in the hand, an issue the IQ had troubles with as well. The relatively small size does not effectively disperse heat and there is no where you can place your hand to escape the heat over time. Time will tell how long-term reliability stands, though we\u2019re sure DaVinci would make things right if the unit does fail.<\/div><\/div><\/span>

Battery Life<\/h3>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The included one 18350 battery is only 900mAh, which isn\u2019t all too much. You can get around 3-4 sessions per battery, depending on your heat setting and usage. Since the Davinci micro battery<\/a> life is quite low, so some users who are on the go and desire a longer battery time usually prefer units like the Arizer Solo 2 vaporizer<\/a> since its battery lasts for 3 hours.<\/p>\n

The carrying can do allow you to store a second battery inside which is nice, as I imagine extended excursions may require that.\u00a0<\/div><\/div><\/span>

Portability<\/h3>\n

The Miqro really is bite-sized like the LITL 1<\/a>. Smaller than almost every other battery powered portable vaporizer<\/a> on the market, it\u2019s great for carrying on the go.<\/p>\n

Coupled with the carrying can which stores a battery and dry herb in separate compartments, you can be set up for multiple sessions with ease. <\/div><\/div>

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

The interface on the Miqro takes some getting used to as it only displays one number at a time. That part has a short learning curve, however, the rest of the device is quite simple. There\u2019s no special draw technique required, packing it is simple and the vibration feedback lets you know once your session has begun\/ended. Users who want to avoid learning curves for their vaporizers usually prefer units like the Utillian 723<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cleaning it is also quite simple. The chamber can be cleaned out by a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol, while the removable zirconia vapor path can be submerged in a small glass of iso to get rid of any build up and residue in no time. <\/div><\/div>

Discreetness<\/h3>\n

Since it\u2019s only a bit larger than the average lighter, it\u2019s impressively discreet. Completely hiding away in the hand while looking like a small power bank when dormant.<\/p>\n

The only thing you\u2019ll really have to be wary of is any odor emitted. Users who prefer their devices to emit little to no odor tend to lean towards vaporizers like the Storz & Bickel Crafty<\/a> because it uses the convection heating method.<\/div><\/div>

Overall Experience<\/h3>\n

The Davinci Miqro is an interesting follow up to their IQ, offering similar quality vapor in an even smaller package. The Miqro does not hold as much herb or as much battery power targeting a niche vaporizer user who prefers smaller on the go sessions.<\/p>\n

The vapor quality is only a few points off the IQ, suffering only from the smaller bowl size and less powerful heater.<\/p>\n

Pairing it with the Utillian Glass Bubbler<\/a> does step up the vapor smoothness and flavor considerably and is a relatively easy upgrade to setup.<\/p>\n
